Leanne Taylor-Leckie BHSc (Clinical Myotherapy) | Gradcert Mental Health | ASCA Strength & Conditioning Coach Leanne brings over 25 years of experience across the health and sporting industries, combining extensive experience with a strong understanding of injury management, rehabilitation, strength and conditioning, mental health and athlete development. As a Clinical Myotherapist, Leanne works with people experiencing a wide range of musculoskeletal injuries and pain conditions, from acute sporting injuries through to persistent and complex pain. She has a particular interest in chronic pain management and women's health, and in understanding the different factors that can influence a person's pain, recovery, movement and overall wellbeing. Leanne's clinical approach is guided by the biopsychosocial model of care, recognising that injury and pain are not always purely physical. Psychological wellbeing, lifestyle, work, sport, and individual circumstances can all influence recovery. She takes the time to understand the person as a whole, providing clear communication and developing practical short and long-term management strategies based on each individual's needs and goals. With a sporting background that began at a young age, Leanne has an extensive understanding of the demands of training, competition, injury and rehabilitation. Her experience extends beyond the clinic into community, representative, state, national and high-performance sporting environments, with a particular involvement in netball. Leanne has worked with and supported developing, state and national-level athletes, providing injury management, rehabilitation and support through the demands of training and competition. Her combined clinical and sporting experience allows her to understand the importance of balancing recovery with training loads, physical preparation and the demands of returning safely and confidently to sport. Her additional studies of Mental health further complement her clinical experience and approach to care, particularly when working with persistent pain, injury, rehabilitation and the psychological impact that injury or changes in physical capacity can have on an individual. Leanne is passionate about continuing to develop her knowledge and remains actively involved in ongoing education across clinical myotherapy, women's health, pain science, mental health, rehabilitation and sports performance. Her focus remains on providing individualised, evidence-informed care and helping each person find a practical pathway towards better movement, function and overall wellbeing.
